Turkey Sausage



Turkey Sausage & Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients:

1 Package Jenny-O Sweet Turkey Sausage
1 Yellow Sweet Pepper
1 Small yellow onion
6 Cups Green Beans
3 Sweet Potatoes, cut into French Fries
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
6 Hot Dog Buns (optional)



Step 1:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add sweet potato pieces, and boil until slightly softened, about 5 minutes. Drain and run cold water over the sweet potatoes.

Step 2:

  • Slice the Sweet Pepper and Onion
  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil on medium high heat
  • Add Peppers and Onions to the pan, stirring frequently
  • In a microwavable safe steam bowl cook the green beans to your desired tenderness.

Step 3:

  • Heat olive oil in another large skillet over medium-low heat;
  • stir in garlic and sweet potato fries. Place a lid over the skillet and let fries steam for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the Turkey Sausage to the skillet with the peppers and onions
  • Remove lid and sprinkle sweet potatoes with paprika, chili powder, and seafood seasoning. Continue to fry sweet potatoes, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 10 more minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Continue cooking sausage, peppers and onions until sausage is browned on all sides and the pepper and onions are tender.
  • Plate and serve
